Frankie, born Frances, is the oldest child of a wealthy family living outside the capital of Jiranz. She lived the standard life of a well-off country girl despite being a little unconventional; at five, she insisted on being called Frankie because Frances sounded too "girly". She was going through a tomboyish stage that she mostly grew out of six years later, but the name was stuck by then. Not that she minded, of course.

Frankie's life was almost painfully normal until one morning when her parents and younger siblings couldn't wake her up. At three in the afternoon, she came downstairs looking fresh as a daisy and asked what was for breakfast. Her parents just thought she was being funny, until the following night they found her standing outside, waiting to meet a friend...one she wasn't supposed to meet until the next morning.

As her 'condition' worsened, Frankie's parents grew worried and tried many methods of curing her-potions, long lectures, visits from the healers. But nothing worked. Frankie was perfectly healthy...she'd just lost her sense of time. And there didn't seem to be any way for her to get it back. The stress started taking its toll on Frankie, and she started smoking to calm her nerves. Now her family has two problems.

Frankie is wise and levelheaded, known to play the voice of reason in any argument. She's kind and understanding, knows when to fight and when to live and let live. She always knows the right thing to say. She's a lot of people's favorite person...

...or would be if not for her nasty chain-smoking habit. A lot. And the fact that despite liking her, people don't want to be around her because her breath stinks. The habit has also given her a persistent cough, which most people mistake for sickness until they're close enough to smell her.

And there's also the loss of time. Frankie keeps odd hours; she'll fall asleep at three in the afternoon and be up and painting at one in the morning with no signs of being tired. She's never on time; she's either late for dinner or two hours early for events or meeting people. Her family, despite increasing frustration with her insanities, continues their efforts to help her; even if they can't fix it, they can at least remind her when breakfast is and when she's supposed to be somewhere.

Appearance; Frankie is fairly pretty, with short dark hair, brown eyes and a lively face. Despite her young age, she looks years older thanks to the effects of smoking on her skin and her hair; her habit has also stained her teeth yellow.
